CVMC’s New Year’s Baby 2022
Nephi, Utah: With the birth of a new year, we are celebrating the first
birth at Central Valley Medical Center! The title of New Year’s
Baby was snagged by the son of Shane and Ginger Allman of Mona, Utah,
when their little boy entered this world fast and furious. This baby boy
claimed not only the title of 2022 New Year’s Baby at CVMC, but
he was also delivered in record time!
“We admitted the family at 12:25 PM and Baby Boy came into this world
just six minutes later,” said Ashley Blackham LPN. Carver Allman
was born at 12:31 PM on January 1st, weighing in at 6 pounds and 6 ounces.
“It was fast but thankfully we had so many awesome people on hand
that delivery went as smooth as a 6 minute delivery could go! This little
guy was ready to be here and there was nothing that was going to stop
him.”
Dr. Alsup was on shift in the Emergency Room when The Allman family arrived.
Dr. Skinner, the family's OBGYN doctor was contacted, but due to the
fast nature of the birth Dr. Alsup ended up being the delivering doctor…
followed closely by Dr. Skinner who made it just seconds after delivery!
“If it wasn’t for the professionalism and quick thinking exhibited
by everyone involved, we could’ve been dealing with another situation.
Everyone here was quick to provide assistance and outstanding care to
this family. We are so grateful this family chose CVMC for their care,”
stated Annie Hatch, RN, Women and Newborn Service Manager.
Being the first born of the year at Central Valley Medical Center doesn’t
just bring bragging rights, but an impeccable amount of Community Support
given by the local businesses. Ranging from gift cards, services, and
monetary donations, the family received these gifts from: America First
Credit Union, Azomite Mineral Products, Bev’s Hot and Cold Beverages,
Boutique On Main, Chili’s Chevron, Edge Tire Pro’s, Mt. Nebo
Market, Mid-State Consultants, Nebo-Leavitt Insurance, Nephi Western Credit
Union, Priority Homes, UCCU Nephi Branch, and a beautiful floral arrangement
given by Local Roots Flower Farm. In addition, a savings plan given by
the Utah Educational Savings Plan (My 529 UESP) along with a $50 savings
certificate!
Congratulations to Shane, Ginger, and Carver!
