About Brandon

Dr. Beck grew up along the Wasatch front where he gained a love for all that Utah has to offer. With a childhood that was full of biking, hiking, golfing, and exploring the wonderful outdoors, Dr. Beck gained an appreciation for the unique things that make this state such a remarkable place to live.

Dr. Beck attended Brigham Young University where he studied Political Science before making a change in his career trajectory, ultimately deciding to pursue medicine. Following college he went to Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he developed an interest in surgery. Dr. Beck went on to complete a traditional rotating internship at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, New York followed by a five year general surgery residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. During residency he received a well rounded surgical education with training in areas such as endoscopy, acute care surgery, minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, surgical oncology, wound care, etc. Dr. Beck was a Chief Resident in his final year of training which included the coordination of the delivery of medical care under extraordinary circumstances as the first waves of the COVID 19 pandemic hit New York.

Following surgical training, Dr. Beck brought his family back west to Rupert, Idaho where he served as a general surgeon for 3 years. During that time Dr. Beck was board certified in general surgery and provided all manner of surgical care to his community. He also helped to educate the next generation of physicians while serving as an assistant professor of general surgery at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Beck is pleased to be returning to Utah with his wife and two children to join the team at CVMC and again enjoy the wonderful opportunities that life in Utah affords. He is looking forward to providing thoughtful, skilled, and personalized care to the people of our community.
