About Jason

Dr. Jason Neilsen is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine. He provides comprehensive care for the entire family with an emphasis on musculoskeletal problems.

Jason is a Central Utah native. He was raised on a farm in Leamington, Utah and attended Delta High School where he participated in year-round athletics. He then went on to graduate from Snow College and Weber State University. Jason attained his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed a family medicine residency locally at Utah Valley Hospital. He then pursued additional training in sports medicine in Spokane, Washington where he learned additional skills in diagnostic and interventional ultrasound as well as extensive experience treating high school, collegiate, and semi-professional athletes.

He is excited to come back to Utah, to join the team at CVMC, and to make Santaquin his new home. He looks forward to returning to primary care where he can take care of each of the needs of his patients. He also looks forward to establishing himself as a local expert in sports medicine.

Jason is always up for an adventure and he enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife and his 3 kids. Together they enjoy hiking, canyoneering, skiing, and biking. Additionally, as you might have guessed, Jason is an avid sports fan.
